Music is at the heart of Katy and Monte’s relationship. When Katy sang during their wedding ceremony at St. Ephrem Catholic Church, with Monte by her side, the entire church was blown away by the power of her voice.
As a music teacher Katy was so proud to have her students sing at the ceremony as well.
This creative bride even made the beautiful flowers… out of paper! Look at the detail, and the vibrant pop of color.
Before heading to the church, “Team Groom” enjoyed having some shots together while Katy and her bridesmaids spent some memorable moments getting dressed. The bridesmaids all wished Katy endless happiness as she set off to meet Monte down the aisle to say, “I do.”
Katy and Monte, along with their wedding party, posed for pictures outside the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament. For us as photographers, this made for an incredible backdrop to capture the magic of the day. The portrait of the bride, as the light flows through the train of her wedding dress, remains one of our most memorable photos.
The couple’s first dance was captured in an emotional photo with Monte & Katy sharing a very intimate embrace.
We would be remiss if we didn’t note how special it was to capture Monte and his sister dancing in remembrance of their mother during the reception at the Waterfall Room.
Music again took central stage on the dance floor when Katy belted out a song while Monte played air guitar. You could feel the surge of energy as everyone cut loose on the dance floor, all the while wishing Katy and Monte a happily ever after.
